Ok - I went back to Blogger - it's so much better than it used to be and soooo much more customizable! I tweaked the HTML myself and got exactly what I wanted on my sidebars - unlike LJ here. (and I am so proud of myself!)

So from now on - you can read my journal here

Go change your bookmarks or feed programs or whatever... go on, I'll wait... good job :-)

Bye!

I thought this was a good idea - you never know what could happen.

Following the subway bombings in London, a British Ambulance Service has launched worldwide campaign for people to enter an "In Case of Emergency" (ICE) number into their cell phones.

The idea is to store the number for your Emergency Contact in your cellular phone address book with the word ICE in front of their name, which stands for "In Case of Emergency".

In an emergency situation ambulance and hospital staff will then be able to quickly find out who your next of kin are and be able to contact them. It's so simple that everyone can do it.

If you find the ICE idea helpful, please store it in your phone then pass on the message to your family and friends.

It won't take too many 'forwards' before everybody will know about this. It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest.

Photos abound! Jul. 27th, 2005 @ 04:39 pm
Ok - I know I havn't updated in awhile, but I have been busy. I'm teaching 2 year olds MWF mornings and I also work at a scrapbook store. Artsy Tartsy. Yes - I know - funny name. Anyway - the best part about working at AT is that I can bring my scrapbooking stuff with me and work on it there! While I'm working!

So anyway - I had the afternoon off today and decided to download Picasa and mess around with a bunch of my photos. It's awesome! I can upload and edit sooo easily - the best and most user-friendly photo program ever! So I took a bunch of photos of my pages I've been so diligently working on lately and uploaded them to photobucket (also something new I'm messing with today) and they have an automatic blog button. So that's what I'm doing right now.

Here are some pages )from last summer when I went to Mike's family reunion. I'm so proud of these pages - mostly cause I finally got them done!

I hope this works out the way I wanted it to... if not - I'll get it eventually!

Here are some fun sites I've come across in the past few weeks.

Bloglines - A RSS feed site that you can customize with your friends (LJ, Blogger, etc) and news or comic sites (anyone who publishes an RSS feed, really) that you can access from anywhere. And as I use several computers, it's a lot easier to get all my info through this site than trying to visit all my normal sites. (BTW: the following sites I found surfing on Bloglines)

Brian McCarty's photography of art toys transported into real-life settings.

An Open Letter to my Sonicare Toothbrush - Well, not mine, but it's kind of amusing. At the bottom of the page, there are tons of open letters to other objects that are incapable or unlikely to respond. I havn't had a chance to brose through all of them, so if you find a good one, let me know.

Bayraider - This guy keeps an eye on eBay and reports on interesting, unique, disgusting or just plain weird items up for auction.

Funny how I've had enough time to find these sites, but not enough time to post updates of my own... Oh well, more later.

Enjoy.

» Garage Sale
I just finished my garage sale. I made $120 total! And $80 of that was on Thursday alone! Yesterday (Friday) was soooooo boring!! I think I only got 20 customers all day and only about 4 people actually bought stuff. Today was better, before it started raining. And I only went till noon today - so much shorter. I had plenty of time to read a whole book, make 4 scrapbook pages, and just veg.

I just finished packing up all the left-over stuff into boxes so I can take it all to goodwill. Cause mom refuses to let any of it back in the house. And I don't blame her - lots of this stuff is worthless to us - there's just no use for it in this house. Like the GIANT box of clothes from my sister's room. She was selling more shirts than I have in my entire wardrobe! And many had never been worn.

That's all for now.
